With the publication of revised CDC guidelines in 1991, concern about childhood lead poisoning has increased. Exposure to lead‐based paint and paint dust is currently considered the major source of lead poisoning in the United States. We describe a child who had elevated BLL related to lead‐contaminated clothing that the father brought home from his workplace. © 1996 Wiley‐Liss, Inc.
