Vapor pressures over Cu–Mg alloys containing 0.1–0.8 atomic fraction Mg were measured by the mass spectrometric Knudsen effusion method in the temperature range 590–860 K. Corresponding values of Cu and Mg activities in this concentration range and Δ H o f , Δ G o f , for Cu 2 Mg and CuMg 2 were assessed. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
