We present a case of intrapericardial teratoma diagnosed by ultrasound at 26 weeks of gestation presenting as a large tumour mass and rapid development of hydrops fetalis. The fetus died in utero one day before scheduled open fetal surgery. Copyright © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
