The use of stabilization techniques for incompressibility and convective acceleration is currently an active area of research in the finite element analysis. A related issue on the topic of stabilization is addressed in this paper. The procedure discussed here is demonstrated using the CBS algorithm for Stokes flow in a lid‐driven cavity.
