At this time, recommendations oncerning the use of antioxidant supplements for the prevention of prostate carcinoma should be made with great caution. More investigation of the efficacy and optimal dosing of nutrients and phytochemicals is needed. Meanwhile, an emphasis on healthy dietary and life‐style patterns should be our current standard for the reduction of prostate carcinoma morbidity and mortality. See also pages 1783–92.
