The fuzzy cellular neural network (FCNN) is a brand new branch of cellular neural network (CNN). In this paper, an additive structure of FCNN is proposed for the purpose of implementation of grey‐scale mathematical morphology operators. Then this additive FCNN is used to implement morphological grey‐scale reconstruction. Some applications of the FCNN to image processing are proposed based on morphological grey‐scale reconstruction.
