The Pax‐6 mutant allele used for all of the studies presented in this paper is the Pax‐6 Sey allele, not the Pax‐6 Sey‐Neu allele. The appropriate genotype of our mice has been confirmed by using PCR analysis. This change in the genotypic identification of the Pax‐6 mutation used for our studies does not alter the substance of our observations or conclusions. The authors regret the error.
