ABSTRACT This preliminary study explores citizens' perceptions regarding the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare, grounded in Cultural Cognitive Theory. A total of 10,523 responses from the Pew Research Center's American Trends Panel Survey Wave 119 were analyzed using Pearson's Chi‐square test of independence. The findings indicate that citizens’ views, specifically their optimism or skepticism toward AI technology and their ideological stance, are significantly associated with their perceptions of AI use in healthcare.
