ABSTRACT This paper studies the mean‐square exponential stability problem for a kind of stochastic inertial neural network. The system models considered in this paper are affected not only by white noise but also by the Lévy noise. For the sake of obtaining the main results of this paper, we first introduce a specialized form of definition on mean‐square exponential stability. Moreover, by utilizing the nonreduced‐order method and the reduced‐order variable substitution method, the sufficient conditions on exponential stability in mean square are derived in way of algebraic inequality and linear matrix inequality, respectively. Lastly, three numerical examples are offered to illustrate the applicability and the availability of our results.
