Abstract Acinetobacter baumannii can cause a wide range of infections including bacterial septicemia, pneumonia, meningitis, soft tissue and urinary tract infections. A. baumannii has emerged as a highly antibiotic‐resistant pathogen. A. baumannii vaccines are urgently needed. Herein, we summarize the advances of carbohydrate‐based vaccines against A. baumannii . Synthetic strategies and stereoselective glycosylation methods are highlighted.
