Gut Microbiota Colonization The image vividly illustrates how gut microbiota colonization in early life influences susceptibility to MAFLD in adulthood. This study provides evidence that perinatal antibiotic exposure alters gut microbiota colonization to inhibit bile acid metabolism, thereby promoting dietary lipid absorption.
