The fi ndings in the study were favorable in relation to evidence of validity based on internal structure, featuring four components theoretically coherent and interpretable; validity evidence based on relations with other variables, indicating coherent relationships between the total score and components of the new dimension with external variables to the instrument; and reliability (internal consistency) of the scale reviewed and its components (between .73 and .86). Accordingly, it is concluded that the reviewed scale is more adequate from the psychometric perspective compared to its original version, and is more related to pathological personality functioning.
