Privação da oferta de serviços fonoaudiológicos no Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS) e a reforma do Estado: a mediação do debate

This article searched for the reasons of the poor offering of phonaudiologists in the public health services found out in previous research, explaining the fact by the analysis of a political situation that reaches it heights in the decade of 90, when occurred the reform of the Brazilian State. It points out restrictions related to the model of reform imposed by international agencies to the Brazilian Government and presents alternatives to the work of the phonoaudiologists compatible with the public politics of health.
