THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE TEACHERS’ GUIDE BOOKS IN GERMAN LANGUAGE TEACHING

German teaching programmes aim to improve four basic skills. In addition to this, these programmes are complete study of giving grammer together with these four skills. The success of these programmes depends on the knowledge of the teacher about foreign language teaching methods, class management, material usage and having good communication skills. One of the most important problems is that how teachers will give the subject and which materials will be used by them. In this case, teacher guide books are the most helpful items for teachers. In this study, we tried to answer some questions like how often teachers use teacher guide books, whether teacher guide books are needed or not. Description -Survey method was used in this study. This study has been done in 2012-2013 education and teaching year with the teachers in Adana, Ankara, İstanbul and Elazığ. Sampling of this search consists of 85 teachers in Adana, Ankara, İstanbul and Elazığ. In this search, reliability level of measurement questionnaire which is used by applying pre-test has been tried to detect. And alfa reliability coefficient has been found as 0.72. Measurement questionnaire has been applied in 2012 – 2013 education and teaching year and data has been analyzed in SPSS programme.
