The number of the pupils who want to learn Turkish as a foreign language has increased recently. It’s discussed that whether this increasing demand could be responded as it should be. In this paper, the “teacher” component in Turkish teaching as a foreign language, which qualifications these teachers should have, what the lacks and common mistakes are and how these problems could be solved will be discussed.
