Pressures generated by economic activity designed to meet the needs of the growing population has been resulted in environmental destruction in countries. Public authorities which are recogniting of this situation has begun efforts to take the necessary measures. However, it is known that community as an individual as long as the show sensitivity on this issue will be able to succeed. The importance of this issue to the international extent with each passing day has come to the fore. For it agreements and protocols be developing measures be taken. Thus, at the national level are continuing efforts to develop sensitivity by providing awareness. This study that was carried out to investigate the sensitivity mentioned and Kahramanmaraş province has been chosen as the research area. In Kahramanmaraş, the attitudes and behavior level of knowledge about the environment of the people have been discussed. By sampling were planned 400 surveys. Then, interpretation was made the aid tables and graphs. As a statistical analysis was made ChiSquare Analysis. According to statistical analysis, individuals themselves consciously accept the situation between voluntary organizations to know state and in terms of conditions follow to written / visual media were statistically difference found. . In terms of the other obtained during criteria are a difference was found. As a result, it was determined that people accepted themselves as conscious. However, their theoretically known to the default cases that no application in practice. Consequently, such as suggestions that starting from the basic training of individuals in this way ensure that the awareness, making public spotlights and written / visual media to be more active in this matter have been development.
