Improvement in technology, increased travelling and changing world order, make terrorism one of the world's most important and serious international problem. Terrorism is a quite complex and always changing phenomenon which is always in national and international agenda. In this study, the tourism industry and the concept of terrorism as obstacles to the development of tourism are analysed. The impacts of terrorism on the tourism sector and on the destination image, especially the terrorism in South-eastern Anatolia Region and the ways of struggling with terrorism are presented in various aspects by reviewing literature about the relation of terrorism and tourism sector. According to data from 2009-2014, the impact of terrorism on the number of tourists that were staying in the municipality certified facilities in South-eastern Anatolia Region was examined. In addition, by making a prediction of 2015 and 2020, it was revealed how terrorism affected the data for 2015. The data taken from TUIK (Turkey Statistics Institute) and the Culture and Tourism Ministry was examined by trend analysis of numerical prediction method. From 2009 to 2013 the number of coming tourists is increased but it is arrived to conclusion that it is not reached the expected number. According to 2013 data it has been reached the above expected number of visitors. This increase in number of tourists and ceasefire agreement in "Resolution Process" in the South-eastern Anatolia Region helped to attract local tourists. It is assumed that it is not reached the estimated number in 2014; but in 2015 it is expected that 2.273.357 tourists will come. However, with the end of "Resolution Process" in middle of 2015 it may not be reached the expected number of tourists since 2015. As a result, it has been found that the impact of terrorism in Southeast Anatolia Region has negative effects on investments, agriculture, tourism sector and social structures.
