In the first section of this article, the life story of Ibiray Altınsarin, who is known to have begun the first studies on the contemporary literature of Kazaks, and in the second section, his works have been examined. Besides, the educational activities of Russians in the second half of the 19 th century, including the period of writer’s lifetime, are explained. The works, rendered by the writer, constitute the first examples of Kazakh Literature written in cyrillic. Moreover, not only his work ArĢ. Gör.
