In this article , it was to tried to determine the problems and their causes which the students face during the first three units of the coursebook named ∗ Dr., Almanca öğretmeni. Đkinci Yabancı Dil Öğrenirken... 1663 Turkish Studies International Periodical For the Languages, Literature and History of Turkish or Turkic Volume 4/3 Spring 2009 “Deutsch ist Spitze” which is taught for 10th Grades at Anatolia High Schools in the education year of 20082009.These were dealt with unit by unit and subtitles In these topics, both the mistakes about grammar, pronunciation, intonation and the mistakes which are made at speaking and writing were examined.These problems are nearly the same in all classes and in different schools. With this work, first, the definition of mother tongue and foreign language was written shortly and then the problems which arose while the language learners were using the native and foreign language were explained step by step with the examples. To sum up, in this article, the wrong usages of German language learners were searched when they practised both Turkish and English. Finally, we aimed to give suggestions to solve these problems.
