When we look atthe literature on the institution of the family; institution of the familyfoundation of societyisthe family'soldest and most established social institutions. However to be one of style family institution affirmative or women and children who oppressed, patriarchal gender discriminatory practices make up ground is an institution-style critical judgment to come across fairly common approaches. The family has its own importance due to its functions on its members’ achieving economic sexual and psychological achievements in addition to transferring the society’s values to the new generations and providing continuity of human kind and civilization. In this case, the family may have been severed its favorable functions then, wrap itself up into imperious unit, and then leads its members a dance. One of these cases is usually ends up with the in-family violence. In this study, cultural dynamics as a major factor in family violence in addition to several others will be the primary subject. It is aimed here to determine the impacts of individuals’ cultural characteristics and sexual discrimination patterns on the spouses’ violent behaviors both to each other and to its members. The discriminations based on the culture that has been caused by social patterns have been important factor revealing the psychological, verbal, physical, economic, and sexual violence within the family. In this study, it is aimed to expose how the cultural constituents have been functioning in legitimizing the in-family violence.
