Shors who live in Southwest Sibiria are Turks witha rich folklor. Woman has an important place in Shor’s legands in all Turkish legands. They are seen both as hero and as co-hero. This paper will concentrate on heroic legands still alive among Shors. The type of woman living in the society of Shors as mentioned above will be studied.
