How To Read The Suffixes Of Ottoman Turkish According To Labial Harmony

Yavuz KARTALLIOĞLU ÖZET Arap harfli metinlerde, kalıplaşan imla belli bir dönemden sonra dilde değişmeye başlayan bazı kelime ve ekleri gizlemiştir. Osmanlı Türkçesi döneminde ünlüsü harf veya hareke ile gösterilmeyen pek çok ekin nasıl Latin harflerine aktarılması gerektiği özellikle Eski Türk edebiyatı üzerinde çalışan araştırıcılar için büyük bir sorundur. Bu yazıda 16, 17 ve 18. yüzyıllarda eklerin nasıl okunması gerektiği harekeli metinler ve transkripsiyon metinlerinden elde edilen oransal verilerle gösterilmeye çalışılacaktır. Anahtar Kelimeler: Osmanlı Türkçesi, ek, dudak uyumu HOW TO READ THE SUFFIXES OF OTTOMAN TURKISH ACCORDING TO LABIAL HARMONY ABSTRACT As the spelling is stereotyped in the texts written in Arabic script, the development of some words and suffixes cannot be traced. It is an important matter for researchers of old Turkish Literature how to convert suffixes whose vowel is not displayed with letters or vowel marks in Ottoman Turkish period from Arabic script into Latin. In the present study, it is tried to be explained how to read those suffixes through the rational data gathered from the texts with vowel markers and with transcription.
