Şerh-i Du’â-yı Kadeh And The Mazmun Of Cup Prayer

One of the factors of Divan Literature is “mazmun”. There are lots of different ideas about the meaning of “mazmun” from the baginning of the Republic to today. The comon idea is that “mazmun” is placing the events or statements in a poem not directly, but by using related words and making these words evident to the readers by using their different meanings and trying to be found their meanings. You need to know all the scientific and cultural knowledge of a educated person in Ottoman society to find the “mazmun”s in the Divan poems. A book named “The Mazmuns and Their Explanations in The Old Turkish Literature” waspublished to explain the mazmuns in Divan poems by using theinformation about the Ottomans‟ cultural lives by Ahmet Talat Onay. Inthis work, the writer says “The mazmun related to „cup prayer‟ was notexplained completely” in the article of „Cup Prayer‟. People can seevarious copies of a small book in the name of “Şerh-i Du‟â-yı Kadeh” inthe remaining parts of Ottoman Culturel life manuscript Works.Different explanations in the copies of this little book helps generalunderstanding fot most of cup prayer mazmun couplets. In order to findthe meaning of the other couplets that contain “Cup Prayer” peopleshould look for one of the different types of basic studies “rind-zâhid” indivan poems and the wide range of cup prayer in Ottoman religionsociallife. In this work, it is aimed to explain the mazmun in CupPrayer that Ahmet Talat Onay said „can‟t be explained‟, because it isvery important to clarify the mazmuns to understand the Divan poems.At the beginning of the work, the definition of mazmun is clarified, themeanings are given about the subject of Şerh-i Du‟a-yı Kadeh and thestaves related to the Cup Prayer are explained after analysing the 142Divan poems. Divan edebiyatının temel unsurlarından biri mazmundur. Mazmunun tanımı hakkında cumhuriyetten günümüze kadar değişik fikirler ileri sürülmüştür. Genel kanı, mazmunun; bir olay, olgu veya durumun doğrudan değil de bazı ilgili kelimelerle şiire yerleştirilip, bu kelimelerin anlam katmanları yardımıyla sezdirilmesi, buldurulmaya çalışılmasıdır. Divan şiirinde geçen mazmunları sezmek, bulmak için Osmanlı toplumundaki bir aydının sahip olduğu bilimsel ve kültürel bilgilere vakıf olmak gerekir. Osmanlıların kültürel hayatlarındaki bilgilerden hareketle divan şiirinde geçen mazmunları açıklamak amacıyla Ahmet Talat Onay tarafından “Eski Türk Edebiyatında Mazmunlar ve İzahı” isimli bir eser kaleme alınmıştır. Bu eserde yazar, “Kadeh Duası” maddesinde, Şiirlerimizde geçen “kadeh duası” tabirinin delalet ettiği mazmun tamamıyla anlaşılamamıştır. demektedir. Mazmunların izahı, divan şiirinin anlaşılması bakımından hayati önem arz ettiği için, bu çalışmada A. Talat Onay‟ın “Anlaşılamamıştır.” dediği kadeh duası mazmununun açıklanması amaçlanmıştır. Osmanlı kültür hayatından kalma el yazması eserler içerisinde “Şerh-i Du‟â-yı Kadeh” isimli bir risalenin çeşitli nüshaları bulunmaktadır. Bu risalenin farklı nüshalarındaki değişik anlatımlar kadeh duası mazmununu ihtiva eden beyitlerin çoğunu genel itibarla anlaşılır kılmaktadır. “Kadeh Duası” ifadesinin geçtiği başkaca beyitlerin izahını Osmanlı dini-sosyal hayatındaki geniş dua yelpazesinde ve divan şiirinin temel çatışmalarından “rind-zâhid” tiplerinde aramak gerekmektedir. Çalışmanın başında mazmun kavramı üzerinde durulmuş, Şerh-i Du‟â-yı Kadeh isimli konuyla alakalı eserin nüshalarının içeriği ve tahlili verilmiş, 142 divanın taranması neticesinde tespit edilen kadeh duası mazmununu içeren beyitler izah edilmiştir
