But, texts of classical literature wheninvestigations objective and carefuly the society is not independentproducts, natural and human a literary tradition was revealed the lightof day.The most glamorous period of the Ottoman Empire the 16th and17th centuries and the this period was summit the literature. But,covers a period of downturn of Ottoman Empire’s literary, social andeconomic sense the 18th century. This century is described literarysense as "cantor time" and this century Ottoman community’s devotionnightlives felt on art and literature.This study, the decedent Mehmed Çavuşoğlu’s “A literary text toexplain of connection with history; be determined as follows, view of theouter realm of the poet, psychology, aesthetics, culture and culturalresources, language and influence.” taking into account the shapedeterminations; 18th century Divan poets Haşmet Divan's will examineand will show that the social aspect of Divan poetry.   Edebi metinlere tarihi belge gözüyle bakmak son derece yanlıştır. Zira edebi eserler, birer tarihi vesika değildirler. Bu sanatsal gerçek bir yana, bu eserlerin oluşturuldukları toplumdan ve bu eserleri oluşturanların ruh dünyalarından izler taşımaları da tabii bir neticedir. Çünkü hemen hemen bütün edebi eserlerin temelinde, toplumsal bir varlık olan insan vardır.Klasik Türk edebiyatı ve özellikle şiiri, uzun süre insanî olmadığı, yüksek zümreye hitap ettiği, sosyal yaşayış ve düşünüşten uzak olduğu düşünülerek eleştirilmiş ve yıllarca “üvey evlat” muamelesine maruz bırakılmış; hatta tahribatın boyutu, bu edebiyata ait ürünlerin ders kitaplarından çıkarılmasının düşünülmesine varmıştır. Ancak daha sonra objektif ve dikkatli incelemelerle Klasik edebiyata ait metinlerin toplumdan mücerret ürünler olmadığı, Osmanlı şiirinin tabii ve insanî bir edebi gelenek olduğu gün yüzüne çıkarılmıştır.Osmanlı Devleti’nin en şaşaalı dönemi olan 16. ve 17. yüzyıllarda edebiyat da zirvede olmuştur. Fakat 18. yüzyıl gerek edebi anlamda gerekse sosyal ve iktisadi anlamda Osmanlı’nın düşüşe geçtiği bir dönemi kapsamaktadır. Edebi anlamda “hazan vakti” olarak nitelendirilen bu asırda Osmanlı toplumunun eğlence hayatına düşkünlüğü, sanat ve edebiyatta etkisini fazlasıyla hissettirmiştir.Bu çalışmada, merhum Mehmed Çavuşoğlu’nun “edebi bir metnin tarihle bağlantısının açıklanması için; şairin dış âleme bakışı, psikolojisi, estetiği, kültür ve kültürün kaynakları, dili ve tesiri belirlenmelidir.” şeklindeki tespitleri düstur edinilerek; 18. yüzyıl Divan şairlerinden Haşmet’in Divanı incelenecek ve Divan şiirinin gayri insani olduğu yönündeki mesnetsiz suçlamalar çürütülmeye çalışılacaktır
