Teaching profession has an important place in the society becauseteachers train individuals and prepare them for the future. Thedevelopment of a nation is mostly based on training well-qualifiedpersons. Teachers, as the trainers of future generations, perform thattask. In this sense, training well-qualified teachers of future gainsimportance. Anatolian Teacher Training High Schools are thought asthe source of teacher training faculties. Teaching Practicum ActivitiesCourse is among the courses conducted to prepare students for theteaching profession in Anatolian Teacher Training High Schools. Thebetter these courses are organized and conducted, the better studentswill be prepared for the future. The aim of this quantitative andqualitative study is to explore Anatolian Teacher Training High Schoolstudents’ opinions toward Teaching Practicum Activities Course. It wasalso aimed to see if students’ attitudes toward teaching professionchanged after Teaching Practicum Activities Course. In qualitative partof the study, it was aimed to determine Anatolian Teacher Training HighSchool students’ views on the effectiveness of Teaching PracticumActivities Course. Study group included 11th grade students enrolled atErgani Anatolian Teacher Training High School in 2009-2010 academicyear. All 11th graders were chosen as the sample of the study. There aretotally 63 male, 17 female students. Quantitative data were collected byusing Attitude Scale for Teaching Profession developed by Semerci(2009). Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficient of the scale was calculatedto be 0.68, KMO value was measured to be 0,88, Bartlett’s test wascalculated to be 8980,25. Paired groups t test was used to analyze thequantitative data. In qualitative part of the study, an interview formincluding six semi-structured questions was used. Eighty students wereinterviewed and content analysis method was used to analyze thequalitative data. Results of the study proved that students had someproblems during Teaching Practicum Activities Course such as crowdedclassrooms, insufficiency of the physical equipment of the schools. Butit was also determined that these activities contributed them havingmore information about teaching profession in practice. They alsoemphasized that they enjoyed teaching profession. No statisticallysignificant difference was found among students’ attitudes towardteaching profession before and after Teaching Practicum Activities Course. Based on the results of the study, it is suggested that students should be informed about the activities, practice schools should be selected carefully and there should be effective communication between Anatolian Teacher Training High Schools and practice schools.   Öğretmenlik mesleği toplumda önemli bir yere sahiptir, çünkü öğretmenler bireyleri gelecek için yetiştirip onları geleceğe hazırlamaktadırlar. Bir ülkenin gelişmesi büyük oranda iyi yetişmiş bireylere bağlıdır. Geleceğin kuşaklarını yetiştiren kişiler olarak öğretmenler bu görevi yerin getirmektedirler. Bu anlamda nitelikli öğretmenlerin yetiştirilmesi önem kazanmaktadır. Anadolu Öğretmen Liseleri öğretmen yetiştiren fakültelerin kaynağını oluşturmaktadır. Uygulamaları İzleme Etkinlikleri Anadolu Öğretmen Lisesi öğrencilerini öğretmenlik mesleğine hazırlamak için yürütülen derslerden biridir. Bu ders ne kadar iyi düzenlenir ve yürütülürse, öğrenciler mesleğe o kadar iyi hazırlanacaktır. Nitel ve nicel desenlerin kullanıldığı bu araştırmanın amacı Anadolu Öğretmen Lisesi öğrencilerinin Uygulamaları İzleme Etkinliklerine ilişkin görüşlerini belirlemektir. Bunun yanı sıra, Uygulamaları İzleme Etkinliklerinden sonra öğrencilerin öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutumlarının değişip değişmediği de araştırma ile ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır. Araştırmanın nitel boyutunda Anadolu Öğretmen Lisesi öğrencilerinin Uygulamaları İzleme Etkinliklerinin etkililiğine ilişkin görüşleri belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışma grubunu 2009–2010 eğitim-öğretim yılında Ergani Anadolu Öğretmen Lisesinde öğrenim gören 11. Sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Tüm 11. Sınıf öğrencileri araştırmaya dâhil edilmiştir. Çalışma grubunda toplam 63 erkek, 17 kız öğrenci bulunmaktadır. Araştırmanın nicel verileri Semerci (1999) tarafından geliştirilen Öğretmenlik Mesleği Tutum Ölçeği ile toplanmıştır. Ölçeğin Cronbach Alpha güvenirlik katsayısı 0,68, KMO değeri 0,88, Bartlett’s testi ise 8980,25 olarak hesaplanmıştır Nicel verilerin analizinde eşli gruplar t testi kullanılmıştır. Nitel bölümde altı yarı yapılandırılmış sorudan oluşan bir görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Seksen öğrenci ile görüşülmüş ve verilerin analizinde içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçları, öğrencilerin Uygulamaları İzleme Etkinlikleri Dersinde kalabalık sınıflar ve fiziki donanım eksikliği gibi sorunlarla karşı karşıya bulunduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Ancak, öğrenciler bu etkinliklerle öğretmenlik mesleği hakkında daha fazla bilgi sahibi olduklarını ve bu etkinliklerin öğretmenlik mesleğini sevmelerini sağladığını da ifade etmişlerdir. Uygulamaları İzleme Etkinliklerinden önce ve sonra öğrencilerin öğretmenlik mesleğine ilişkin tutumları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmamıştır.Araştırma sonuçlarına dayalı olarak öğrencilerin etkinlikler hakkındabilgilendirilmeleri, uygulama okullarının seçimine dikkat edilmesi veAnadolu Öğretmen Lisesi ile uygulama okulu arasında etkili biriletişimin kurulması gibi önerilerde bulunulmaktadır
