Comprehension Difficulties For Turkish Teachers

Turkish education aims listening, reading, speaking, writing, mainlanguage skills and developing grammar learning field. In order to gainall the aims in each field, different methods and techniques are used inaccordance with the factors such as student, subject educationenvironment. The aim of this research is to find out the subjects whichthe teachers at secondary school find difficult to teach and also to findout the methods and techniques which are applied to teach thesesubjects. The research is a survey in form. As data gathering means inthe research, interview form approach as qualitative research method isused. The study group of the research consists of 9 Turkish teachers,determined up to maximum diversity exemplification, who teach atschools classified as successful, moderate and unsuccessful accordingto SBS point averages in Trabzon, Ordu, Samsun and İstanbul.Depictive analysis method is used for the analysis of the data.According to the results of the study, the method teachers mostly applyis the metaphor. In the school with low SBS points, metaphor is highlyapplied. More than half of the metaphors have been used in the sixthgrade. This data can be associated with the passing to the abstractoperations period of the students. Exemplification from daily life,prompting what is already known, dramatization and questions andanswers are the other methods and techniques applied. One of thedifferent results of the research is that although there are mainlyactivities suggestions about structure knowledge and gerund andinfinitives, there are not any activity suggestions about the subjectsthat teachers have difficulty with. One of the most important results ofthe study for the eighth grade students is to try to conceive the topic byproblem solving. This data refers to the blocking effect of SBS onsucceeding the purpose of Turkish course. Türkçe eğitimi; dinleme, okuma, konuşma, yazma temel dil becerileri ve dil bilgisi öğrenme alanının geliştirilmesini hedeflemektedir. Her bir alandaki hedeflerin kazandırılmasına yönelik olarak öğrenci, konu, eğitim ortamı gibi değişkenlerin durumuna göre farklı yöntem ve teknikler kullanılır. Bu araştırmanın amacı, ilköğretim ikinci kademede görev yapan öğretmenlerin öğretmekte güçlük çektiği konuları ve bu konuların öğretiminde kullanılan yöntem ve teknikleri ortaya koymaktır. Araştırma tarama modelindedir. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu; Trabzon, Ordu, Samsun ve İstanbul illerinde SBS puan ortalaması başarılı, orta ve başarısız olarak nitelendirilen okullarda görev yapan maksimum çeşitlilik örneklemesine göre belirlenmiş 9 Türkçe öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Verilerin analizinde betimsel analiz yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışma sonuçlarına göre öğretmenlerin en sık başvurdukları yöntem metafordur. SBS puanı düşük okullarda metafor daha fazla kullanılmıştır. Metaforların yarısından fazlası altıncı sınıf düzeyinde kullanılmıştır. Bu veri, öğrencilerin soyut işlemler dönemine geçmesiyle ilişkilendirilebilir. Günlük hayattan örnekler verme, ön bilgileri harekete geçirme, dramatizasyon ve soru çözümü ise kullanılan diğer yöntem ve tekniklerdir. Araştırmanın farklı sonuçlarından biri, programda ağırlıklı olarak yapı bilgisi ve fiilimsilerle ilgili etkinlik önerilerinin olmasına karşın öğretmenlerin güçlük çektiği konularla ilgili etkinlik önerilerinin olmamasıdır. Araştırmanın bir diğer önemli sonuçlarından biri, sekizinci sınıflarda soru çözümüyle konunun kavratılmaya çalışılmasıdır. Bu veri, SBS’nin Türkçe dersinin amacına ulaşmasını engelleyici etkisine gönderme yapmaktadır
