This study consists of the introduction and four parts. In the introduction part, there is information about storytelling in general and the Classical Turkish storytelling; and Nergisî’s importance in storytelling tradition and his book Meşâkku’l-‘uşşâk have been mentioned. There is the summary of the story in the first part. Including content elements; the story, narrator, perspective, time, place, people are in the second part. Portraits and dialogues have been emphasized in the third part together with the analysis of narrating techniques and there is the analysis of the language of the story and storytelling mode in the fourth part.
