According to the Turkish Folklore Archive Guide prepared in 1976 by the National Folklore Research Deparment of Ministry of Culture of the time, which is now called the Ministry of Culture directorate general for research and development of folk culture, article „K‟ in the guide was designated for beliefs, while the subjects of Turkish folklore was being determined. In this part of the guide which was prepared based on the categorization in hundreds, dream and fortune-telling appears in the „K 700‟ category.
