This paper’s aim is to display the cultural ties of Hatay with Turkey, which had been admitted as the inseparable part of the homeland due to its inclusion by the frontiers of National Pact (Misak-ı Milli) however discluded then, until the period of its participation to Turkey; to put forward the impacts on the several ethnic groups in Hatay which is one of the modernization steps in the field of education-culture and realized as the necessity of being the nation-state in this context.The massive struggles which were given against French government’s divide-and-manage policy, Syrian Government, El-Urube, El-Kabes, El-Vakit newspapers from the press of Damascus and the Panarab groups are assessed from the perspective of newspapers, Yenigün and Vahdet which were amongst the influential and relatively important newspapers to shapen the public opinion in Hatay. In this article, benefiting from the newspapers of that period, we will study on how to accept new letters in education and official section.
