In this article, with a thematic review, in the concept of Turkish language and culture history, as cultural elements of old Turkish culture, ten drink names (baxsum, bāziq, begni, bor, boza, çaqır, seker, suwsuş, sorma, süçig) used in texts of historical Turkish dialects (Old and Middle Turkic) from 10th century to 16th century are expounded in terms of lexicology by indicating the passages where the names occur. As a result, in the light of all the information accumulated, the names are analysed from the point of morphology, semantics and etymology and the area of their linguistic notions comprised are given in detail.
