In this article, the historical development and use of the narrative therapy arising from constructivism which is derived from the postmodern paradigms of counseling and psychotherapy is evaluated. Analyzing the development of the therapeutic method and scrutinizing the steps of this process is aimed. In the last part of the study, the relation between the narrative therapy and the transpersonal psychology is investigated is concentrated on the subject of using narrative therapy in the transpersonal practices/psycho-synthesis as an instrument. Besides, it is aimed to provide a perspective focusing on the practices used on the workers in the field and the area of use of the practice. This article focuses on; psychological counseling and historical development of narrative therapy resulting from constructivism, which emerged as a result of postmodern paradigms in psychotherapy, and the use of the field. The aim of this writing is to examine the development of the therapeutic method and then to focus on the steps in this process. This work is important to ensure that field workers are informed about new applications. Narrative Therapy seems to be very useful in terms of some techniques that school psychologists can take advantage of. At the beginning of the study, paradigmatic change and the history of Narrative Therapy is mentioned and in the last part, the relationship between the narrative therapy and the self-psychology is emphasized and the narrative therapy is used as an instrument in psycho-synthesis. In this article, it is aimed to provide a framework that focuses on the applications of narrative therapy in recent years to fieldworkers and to enable them to include this approach in practice. One of the most effective approaches to the tendency of seeking alternative behaviorism and psychoanalysis in the field of psychotherapy is the humanistic-existentialist approach, and the narrative therapy is one of the most effective approaches to psychotherapy since the middle of the 20th century with the influence of the interpretative paradigm developed alongside the positivist paradigm.
