This study was designed to show how a particular Department of Culture, the object of empirical study, has seen and exercised spirituality within their organizational dimensions and their understanding about this topic. In order to do so, the overall goal is to identify whether or not there are the practices of spirituality in corporate cultural foundation, according to the perception of the professional secretariat. Specific objectives are sought to determine whether the Secretary can find situations that may encourage them to develop / enhance a more spiritual attitude in the culture of this organization; identify whether the professional secretariat has exercised spirituality in this corporation, as a means for personal and professional development. Exploratory method and qualitative method were used for the stages of research in this study, making use of the literature and case study, besides the use of the interview structured with open questions as a technique for data collection. For purposes of data analysis, the quantitative method and content analysis were used. As a result of the survey it was observed that researched subjects (the professional secretaries), must know how important it is to develop more human attitudes thinking about the welfare and spirituality of others. It was also found that a more emphatic participation of its leaders to learn about the concepts related to corporate spirituality and emotional intelligence is necessary, aiming to passing it on to their subordinates. It is clear, then, the importance of professional secretaries learn concepts about spirituality, to internalize and socialize with other employees the benefits of this new organizational behavior.
