This paper analyses the concept of public exercise of religion in the comparative framework of three countries in Latin America: Peru, Colombia and Chile. As a conclusion, some relevant issues regarding two conflicts are exposed: the presence of religious symbols and religious education on public institutions, and public religious demonstrations.
