ResumenCon el objetivo de contribuir al conocimiento de la riqueza de mamíferos de Tlaxcala, se realizó un inventario de las especies que habitan en un bosque de coníferas y áreas adyacentes, y se resaltan 8 registros sobresalientes para la zona. Los datos se obtuvieron a partir de registros de colecciones científicas, de recolectas recientes en el área y de consultas en la literatura especializada. Se registró un total de 41 especies de mamíferos silvestres nativos pertenecientes a 34 géneros, 16 familias y 8 órdenes, de las cuales 13 son endémicas de México y 4 se encuentran bajo alguna categoría de protección. La diversidad de mamíferos del área de estudio continúa sufriendo un impacto ecológico negativo, debido a la transformación de los hábitats. Los datos aportados por el estudio pueden ser de utilidad en los planes de manejo del parque, pero deben ser completados con investigación sobre distribución y abundancia de la fauna silvestre.AbstractAn inventory of the mammals inhabiting a coniferous forest and adjacent areas in Tlaxcala is presented, with 8 noteworthy records for the area. Data were obtained from records of scientific collections, field work in the area and recent literature. We recorded a total of 41 species belonging to 34 genera, 16 families and 8 orders, 13 of which are endemic to Mexico, 4 are protected under some category. The diversity of mammals in the study area is still under a negative ecological impact due to habitat transformation. Data from the study may be useful in the management plans of the park, but has to be supplemented with field research on distribution and abundance of species
