The objective of the present article is to analyze the consistency of the process model of stress as a guide for the design and execution of psychological therapeutic interventions in mental and physical health. This has the following advantages: (1) in an integral manner deals with the most important factors related to health problems; (2) relies on a lot of scientific evidence; (3) it makes possible interdisciplinary work with other health professionals; and (4) it allows for the integration of techniques from different psychotherapeutic models within the framework of an integrated mind-body focus.
