1,3,4-oxadizoles are  biologically  important group of compounds having activities like analgesic, anti-inflammatory, bactericidal, antifungal, anticonvulsant, psychotropic, plant growth regulating and mono amino oxidase inhibition. In the review of the above fact, we report here with the preparation and biological activities of new series of compounds bearing 1, 3, 4-oxadiazole moiety.Isoniazid is a well known and well acknowledged antimycobacterial agent. In view of the important biological properties of oxadiazole, it was planned to suitably incorporate the oxadiazole ring system into isoniazid moiety to explore the possibilities of some altered biological action and hence the following oxadiazole derivatives were synthesized and screened for their analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial activities. The synthesized compounds are characterized by MP,TLC, IR,NMR,MASS,etc and analgesic,anti-inflammatory,and antimicrobial activity were carriedout.Almost all the synthesized compound possess good activity as compared to the standard.
