Stove tile ceramics from Turaida archaeological site were characterized for their mineral and chemical composition. Mineral characteristics of ancient ceramics were determined with X-ray diffractometer. Chemical composition and micromorphology of ceramics and glazes were determined with scanning electron microscope (SEM) with energy dispersive Xray spectrometer (EDS) unit. The conducted analyzes showed similarity with Latvian clay, suggesting that these stove tiles ceramics are of local origin and production.
