Therapeutic alliance has been proposed as an ideal patient-provider relationship. The Kim Alliance Scale (KAS) measures the quality of therapeutic alliance, including patient empowerment. The objectives were to refine KAS and to measure the relationship between therapeutic alliance and patients' general satisfaction.
