Les revendications séparatistes et autonomistes au sein des États et territoires mono- et multi-insulaires: essai de typologie

Loin d’être un épiphénomène à l’échelle planétaire, les revendications séparatistes et autonomistes au sein même des archipels concernent au moins vingt États et territoires multi-insulaires dans le monde. Néanmoins, les motivations et les modalités de leur mise en oeuvre sont multiples. À l’aide d’une typologie, qui s’appuie sur des exemples significatifs, on peut apporter quelques éléments premiers d’analyse et d’explication, afin de mieux cerner les contours d’une aspiration libertaire qui semble être amplifiée dans les archipels par la fragmentation et la discontinuité des territoires.Far from being an epiphenomenon on a global scale, separatist and autonomist movements existing at the very heart of archipelagos concern at least 20 multi-insular states and territories across the world. These movements are nevertheless motivated by numerous factors and take action in many different ways. Following a typology based on significant examples, we propose some initial elements of analysis and explanation, thereby better highlighting the contours of separatist aspirations, which seem to be amplified in archipelagos by the fragmentation and discontinuity of the territories themselves
