It is possible to enhance Parliament’s political oversight powers. This paper studies some of the most common tools in our Cortes Generales for political accountability and concludes that in recent years parliamentary practice has consolidated parliamentary oversight. However, this enhancement needs to be reflected in the Standing Orders.
