Open AccessDurante los últimos meses del año 1823, cuando ya se había producido la invasión de la península por un ejército de unos 130.000 hombres, llamado los Cien Mil Hijos de San Luis, el obispo de Solsona y un gran número de curas párrocos de dicha diócesis redactaron unos escritos que muestran a estos eclesiásticos como firmes partidarios de la restauración de la monarquía absoluta. El primero de los escritos es una exposición de los curas párrocos dirigida a la Regencia del reino; el segundo, una felicitación del obispo a Fernando VII por la recuperación del trono, y el tercero, la felicitación de los curas párrocos a dicho monarca por el mismo motivo.
During the last months of 1823, when an army ofabout 130.000 men, called the One Hundred Sons of Saint Louis, had already invaded the península, the bishop of Solsona and a great number of parish priests from this diocese wrote some documents in which these clergymen proved to be strongly in favour of the absolute monarchy restoration. The first of these documents is an exposition of the parish priests addressed to the Kingdom Regency; the second one is a congratulation from the bishop to Ferdinand VII for the recovery of the crown and the third one the parish priests' congratulation to this monarch and for the same reason.
