Se analiza en primer lugar los diferentes tipos de órdenes sagradas existentes en el seno de la Iglesia, así como los requisitos para acceder a cada una. A continuación se estudia qué es el Beneficio, las diferentes clases que había en la diócesis palentina, y las características y conocimientos que debían reunir los aspirantes.

This study analyses the different types of sacred orders within the Church besides the requirements for belonging to each one. Next, we will discover what the Benefit consists of, the different classes existing in the Palencian bishopric and the characteristics and knowledge required in order to be candidates.
