Resumen El alumnado de los PCPI se encuentra en riesgo de exclusion social dadas sus circunstancias personales y sociales. Sin apoyo educativo tendran muchas dificultades para construir su proyecto vital y laboral. Comprender los factores personales y sociales que condicionan sus vidas, permitira responder a sus necesidades educativas a caballo entre la formacion personal y la iniciacion profesional. La mediacion educativa permitira obtener la titulacion de la ESO y la cualificacion profesional. Este articulo pretende analizar los comportamientos relacionados con las drogas del alumnado de los PCPI y las respuestas educativas ofertadas. En relacion al metodo de investigacion se ha recogido informacion mediante cuestionarios y entrevistas a profesorado y alumnado del Pais Vasco. Los resultados muestran que la mediacion ofrecida con estos programas es mejorable con recursos humanos, materiales y funcionales adecuados. Los PCPI son autenticos programas de mediacion educativa que pueden ayudar a crear proyectos de vida saludables. Abstract Students in IPQPs (Initial Professional Qualification Programmes) run the risk of social exclusion as a result of their personal and social circumstances. Without the support of education, they will encounter many difficulties in their life and work projects. Understanding the particular personal and social conditions that determine their lives will enable the design of a suitable educational response both in relation to their personal education an to their professional initiation. Education mediation will enable the adquisition of the ESO compulsory degree and of the pertinent professional qualification. Our analysis aims to analyse drug-linked behaviours of IPQP students and the education responses available. The research method used involved the gathering of information by means of surveys and interviews appied to teachers and students in the Basque Country. The results show that the mediation offered by means of these programmes could be improved with appropriate human, material and functional resources. The IPQPs show to be education mediation programmes that can help to create healthful life projects.
