Indicadores de sustentabilidade ambiental sao ferramentas que possibilitam a analise detalhada das formas de uso e ocupacao do solo, auxiliando na gestao e proposicao de estrategias de planejamento territorial mais eficazes para o enfrentamento dos condicionantes socioambientais que levam ao risco de adoecimento, sobretudo por doencas epidemicas, como as transmitidas pelo Aedes aegypti. A cidade de Aracaju apresenta alto grau de infestacao do referido mosquito, no ano de 2014 apresentou um alto indice de infestacao predial (IIP). Nesse sentido, o objetivo desse trabalho foi mensurar indicadores de sustentabilidade ambiental para controle da infestacao do mosquito Aedes aegypti no municipio de Aracaju- SE. Para tanto, foram consultados dados bibliograficos e documentais que serviram de base para a elaboracao de mapas de uso e ocupacao do solo e de qualidade da paisagem, dos anos de 2004 e 2013,afericao de indicadores,alem de visitas in loco para analise das acoes antropicas na area. As analises foram realizadas em dois bairros da capital sergipana, a saber: Jabotiana e Cidade Nova, os quais foram selecionados por apresentarem respectivamente o menor e o maior IIP do mosquito da dengue no ano de 2014. Os resultados indicam que o bairro Cidade Nova possui indice de sustentabilidade ruim, o que indica maior risco a infestacao, enquanto que o bairro Jabotiana apresenta boa sustentabilidade, condicao que propicia menor risco a propagacao do vetor. The city of Aracaju has a high degree of infestation of said mosquito, the year 2014 showed a Premise Index (PI). In this sense, the aim of this study was to measure environmental sustainability indicators for control of infestation of Aedes aegypti in the city of Aracaju-SE. Therefore, bibliographic data and documents were found which were the basis for the development of the use of maps and land cover and landscape quality, the years 2004 and 2013 benchmarking indicators, as well as site visits to analyze the actions anthropic in the area. Analyses were carried out in two districts of the capital of Sergipe, namely: Jabotiana and Cidade Nova, which were selected because they have respectively the lowest and the highest dengue mosquito PI in the year 2014. The results indicate that Cidade Nova neighborhood has bad sustainability index, which indicates higher risk of infestation, while Jabotiana neighborhood has good sustainability, a condition that provides less risk to vector propagation. In addition, the selected environmental indicators indicate that the environmental quality of territories directly affects the formation of breeding and spread of Aedes aegypti .
