Produção primária do fitoplâncton em viveiros de cultivo de peixes, (Itamaracá-PE).

This work present~ the primary production of the phytoplankton from some fishculture ponds at Itamaracá estuarine area (Pernambuco-Brazil). Samples were collected with a van Dorn water bottle, from June/80 to August/8l at four ponds, one maintained at natural conditions and the other three fertilized with chicken manure. It was utilized the radioactive carbon (" C) method, with "in situ" incubation. The values of primary production varied from l6,86mgC.h-'. mat pond 18, June/8l to 467,3lmgC.h-'. mat pond 21, August/80.
