Tabebuia serratifolia, Tabebuia chrysotricha and Tabebuia roseo-alba (Bignoniaceae), are an important ornamental and wood trees in Brasil. The effects of light and temperature in the germination of Tabebuia serratifolia, Tabebuia chrysotricha and Tabebuia roseo-alba seeds were studied in the present work. The results indicated that the species present light insensitive seeds the and optimum temperature was between 20° and 30°C, the maximum temperature between 35° and 40°C and minimal temperature between 10° and 15°C for Tabebuia chrysotricha and Tabebuia roseo-alba and below 10°C for Tabebuia serratifolia.
