Nowadays, the insurance activity is developed widely. The developing countries are getting different strategies in order to stimulate the insurance activity. The main aim is to favor not only obliged insurance contract, but also other forms of insurance contract, such as: life insurance contract. This article offers in a comparative view the general rules on life insurance contract between Albanian Civil Code and Italian one. Its aim is to underline the similarities and the differences on the provisions of this contract. Also, a special focus is on life insurance contract in benefit of a third person. The provisions of this contract express clearly the relation between two Civil Codes, as we are part of Civil Law Family. In addition, another important connection is the fact that the second part of Albanian Civil Code follows the same rules as Italian Civil Code.
