Organic materials, the combined products of different animal and plant sources, play vital roles in agricultural crop production systems. They are more environmental friendly than inorganic fertilizers and added many values to soil and crop production, economically. They sustain and restore soil inherent properties, enhance soil biological activities and potentially increase crop yields, which are safe for human consumption (that is, free from chemicals). This paper aims to discuss the values of organic materials as fertilizers in crop production systems of northern Nigeria. This is hoping to provide awareness for the possibility of the implementation of bioorganic fertilizers industries in northern Nigeria for permanent and economic sustainable crop production.     Key words: Organic materials, bioorganic fertilizers, crop production, Northern Nigeria.
