Some of the principles are given that can be applied in moving a book collection from one library into another, as well as some of the more p obvious pitfalls to be avoided. Questions that may arise and decisions which must be made in planning the move are discussed briefly, including the orientation of the transfer, problems associated with locations, methods of transporting the collection, and materials needed. A few comments on strategy and tactics of the move, as well as some advantages of an internal operation are offered in conclusion.
