Image fusion is the idea to enhance the image\udcontent by fusing two or more images obtained from\udvisual sensor network. The main goal of image fusion is\udto eliminate redundant information and merging more\uduseful information from source images. Various\udtransform domain image fusion methods like DWT,\udSIDWT and DCT, ACMax DCT etc. are developed in\udrecent years. Every method has its own advantages and\uddisadvantages. ACMax Discrete cosine transform (DCT)\udis very efficient approach for image fusion because of its\udenergy compaction property as well as improve quality of\udimage. Furthermore, this technique has also some\uddisadvantages like color artifacts, noise and degrade the\udsharpness of edges. In this paper ACMax DCT method is\udintegrated with saturation weighting and Joint Trilateral\udfilter to get the high quality image and compare with\udtraditional methods. The results have shown that ACMax\udDCT with Saturation weighting and Joint Trilateral filter\udmethod has outperformed the state of art techniques.\u
